What is next
Where to go in Guides, Reference, and Explainers.
You ran a job. The fundamentals are in place. From here, the docs branch out by what you want to do next.
To get better results
- Calibrate your machine and material. Run the Material test grid, Focus test, and Interval test so you stop guessing at power/speed.
- Build a material library. Save tested settings as presets in the Material Library so you do not redo the work.
- Read about scan interval and dithering. Engraving photos and gradients well depends on understanding these.
To do specific kinds of projects
The Projects and techniques section has end-to-end walkthroughs:
To master the tools
- Reference has one page per panel, tool, dialog, setting, and hotkey. When you want to know exactly what a control does, look here.
- Hotkeys lists every command and its default binding.
When something is wrong
- Troubleshooting is organized by symptom. Search for what you are seeing.
- If you cannot find a fix, ask in the Facebook community group or use the Send feedback action in the app.
To use Beam Bench from outside the app
- Using the CLI: drive projects, render canvases, capture state from a terminal.
- Using the HTTP API: same things from any HTTP client.
That is it for the linear path. The rest of the docs are reference and reference-adjacent.
