Quality
Calibration tests baked into Beam Bench. Run once per new material, save the results, never guess again.
The three quality tests turn "what power and speed should I use?" from guesswork into a 10-minute calibration. Run each on a piece of scrap material; pick the best result; save to the material library.
In this section
- Material test grid: sweep power and speed (or any two parameters) to find best settings.
- Focus test: find the right Z-height for the sharpest cut / darkest engraving.
- Interval test: find the tightest scan interval that still produces solid fill.
- Build a material library: save what works for next time.
Workflow
For a new material:
- Focus first. If focus is off, everything else is off.
- Material test for the operation you care about (cut, fill, engrave).
- Interval test if you are filling or engraving.
- Save the winning settings to the Material Library.
That is the whole calibration routine. ~30 minutes once, then you stop thinking about it for that material.
