v0.1.10 Project and Machine Update

Lbrn project import, experimental LaserPecker support, and manual Ruida lift-table jogging.

Beam Bench v0.1.10 adds direct Lbrn project import, a dedicated experimental LaserPecker controller choice, and bounded lift-table jogging for the experimental Ruida RDC6442S adapter.

Downloads

  • macOS: universal .dmg, Developer ID signed and notarized.
  • Windows: signed x64 NSIS setup .exe.
  • Linux: x64 .AppImage.

The current build is available from beambench.com.

Lbrn project import

Beam Bench can directly import modern .lbrn2 projects and legacy .lbrn files. Imported projects can preserve:

  • Color layers and their cut or image settings.
  • Paths, rectangles, ellipses, editable text, groups, and embedded bitmaps.
  • Project notes and material height.
  • Placement, rotation, scale, and shear.
  • Shared path or bitmap data used by older project files.

Lbrn files work through the normal file picker, batch importer, drag and drop, Local API, and CLI import paths.

Experimental LaserPecker controller

The connection screen includes a dedicated LaserPecker (Experimental) choice for compatible serial and network workflows. Built-in profiles cover the LX1, LX1 Max, LX2, LP2 Plus, LP4 or LP4 Safeguard, and LP5 compatibility rows.

The LP1 family, LP2 or LP2 Safeguard, and LP3 are not claimed by this adapter. LaserPecker compatibility depends on the exact model, connection method, and controller behavior, so use Help > Report a Bug if a listed model does not connect or run as expected.

Experimental Ruida lift-table jogging

Ruida RDC6442S profiles can select the controller's Z or U channel for finite manual lift-table steps. The setting defaults to disabled because cabinet machines use different wiring conventions. Verify your controller and machine documentation before selecting a channel.

Lift-table steps keep laser output disabled and use the configured feed rate. This does not add general Z-axis job control or claim support for other Ruida controller models.
