Beam Bench Docs

About Beam Bench

Installed version, build identifiers, beta status, and community links.

The About dialog identifies the Beam Bench build currently running. Copy its details when you file a bug report or compare an installed build with the release notes.

When it opens

Menu: Help → About Beam Bench....

What you see

  • The app icon and Beam Bench title with a Beta badge.
  • The tagline Built by makers for makers.
  • The installed version.
  • A short Git commit SHA and formatted build date.
  • The build target triple and Rust compiler version.
  • A beta warning.
  • Links to the Beam Bench Facebook group and Craftgineer.

Build details load asynchronously. Until the app service responds, unavailable values can appear as unknown.

Buttons

  • Copy version info: copies the version with (beta). When build details have loaded, the copied block also includes the short SHA, build date, target triple, and Rust compiler version.
  • The Facebook and Craftgineer cards open those sites in the default browser.
  • Close: dismisses the dialog.

The About dialog does not provide a GitHub or PrintCutCarve link. Use Help → Report a Bug... for an in-app bug report.
