Nest
Pack selected parts inside the largest eligible selected closed vector container.
The Nest dialog runs a packing algorithm on selected vector-compatible objects. The largest eligible selected closed object becomes the fixed container; the other selected objects are packed inside it. The command does not use or resize the workspace automatically.
When it opens
Menu: Arrange → Nest Selected, with multiple objects selected.

Buttons
- Cancel: dismiss.
- Nest (auto-focused), run the packer.
- Ctrl/Cmd + Enter: apply.
Notes
- Nesting runs asynchronously after the dialog closes. Watch the canvas for the result.
- The largest visible, unlocked, closed vector-compatible selected root is the container. Select at least one additional compatible part.
- Larger Minimum Spacing values use more material. Base the value on measured process width plus a margin verified for the exact material and cut settings.
- The stored per-layer Kerf value is not currently applied by the production planner; it does not create nesting clearance.
- Allow Mirror only helps for symmetric or mirror-acceptable parts. Turn off when chirality matters.
- Settings persist in app state, next time the defaults match your last use.
