Laser-off framing checks the job bounds. It does not execute the artwork's engraving paths.
  1. Open frame-start.lzrproj while disconnected. It stores User Origin X 80 / Y 80 and Bottom left for the example tag.
  2. Inspect Preview and turn off Show Travel. Check that only the outline and opening are included.
  3. Compare frame-finished.lzrproj. Saving preserves positioning fields, not proof that a frame cleared actual stock or clamps.
  4. For a physical frame on your verified setup, leave Frame: Laser On unchecked, choose Box, and check Frame speed. The demo uses 1200 mm/min.
  5. Clicking Frame opens Confirm Frame. Read it before confirming motion. Keep the travel clear and watch the actual machine.
  6. Wait for Idle. Reframe after changing artwork, origin or included output. Complete the offline review without commanding motion.

Placement worksheet

Open frame-practice.lzrproj. Compare its mode and anchor with frame-practice-answer.lzrproj. Choose Bottom right and save a separate copy if you want to reproduce the saved-field change.

  • The example saved point is X 100 / Y 100. Changing the artwork anchor does not set a new physical reference.
  • Use Preview and the saved fields for the offline review. Physical clearance remains an observation for your own machine.

Explained answers and files

Practice fields
User Origin X 100 / Y 100 and Bottom right. The practice geometry is a 72 x 28 mm tag with an 8 mm opening.
Physical observation
Record whether every side clears stock edges, clamps and the surrounding travel area. A saved answer cannot supply that observation.
Recheck trigger
Moving the design, changing the origin or changing included output can change the frame.
