Written guide
Resolve an out-of-bounds object and remove a visible guide from the planned output.
Lesson guide
- Open preview-start.lzrproj and click Preview. Read the actual message: Plate extends 4 mm past the right workspace edge.
- Beam Bench selects Plate. In Design, use the bottom-left Properties reference and change X 92 to 52, keeping W 12 / H 16.
- Clear selection and Preview with Show Travel off. The large Guide rectangle is an unwanted contour because its main Output is on.
- Close Preview. In Layers select Guide and turn off main Output beside Show. Leave Show on and preserve its smaller operation Output.
- Preview again. Only Plate and the opening remain. Go to start and use Next segment to inspect the planned paths.
- Turn Show Travel on to distinguish laser-off moves from Burn paths. Duration is an estimate. Save separately and compare with preview-finished.lzrproj.
Independent practice
Open preview-practice.lzrproj. Read the bounds error, then move Plate from X 94 to 54. Keep Guide visible with its main Output off.
- Preserve Plate W 10 / H 18, Y and the 16 mm opening. The practice guide is an ellipse.
- Check Preview, save a separate copy and compare with preview-practice-answer.lzrproj.
- Why is Plate initially outside the workspace?
- Which Guide control removes its path but preserves its canvas display?
- Does a clean software Preview establish focus or stock clearance?
Explained answers and files
- Practice correction
- Plate starts at X 94 with width 10 in a 100 mm workspace, extending 4 mm beyond it. X 54 brings it inside.
- Output exclusion
- Guide stays shown; main Output is off. Preview includes Plate and the opening, not the guide.
- Preview limits
- A plan checks software paths. It does not verify a physical reference, stock placement, material response or focus.
preview-finished.lzrprojSaved demonstration setup, not a completed physical result.
preview-practice-answer.lzrprojCompare saved fields and artwork after your attempt.
preview-practice.lzrprojIndependent starter for this lesson.
preview-start.lzrprojFollow the demonstrated setup.
Changing Show alone affects canvas display. Read the planned output after every inclusion or positioning change.
Matches the demonstrated Beam Bench 0.2.37 controls and the corrected ending where applicable. Later panel layouts may differ.
