Written guide
Compare a stored User Origin with the head's current position.
Lesson guide
- Keep the machine disconnected. Open user-origin-start.lzrproj and inspect its artwork. The demo tag is 80 x 30 mm with an 8 mm opening.
- Compare with user-origin-finished.lzrproj. It stores Start From: User Origin, X 80, Y 80, and Bottom left for Job Origin.
- In User Origin, the selected artwork anchor is placed at the stored point. Moving the head later does not change that stored point.
- Set here records a reported work position on a connected machine. Without that position, review the saved answer instead of inventing a reference.
- Go Origin is a movement command to the stored point. Reading a saved file is not a physical placement or clearance check.
- For this offline review, compare fields and geometry only. Save a separate copy if you change any setup fields.
Setup review
Compare user-origin-practice.lzrproj with user-origin-practice-answer.lzrproj while disconnected. Explain the saved setup rather than trying to reproduce a head move.
- The practice tag is 72 x 28 mm with an 8 mm opening. Keep its geometry unchanged.
- The answer stores User Origin X 100, Y 90 and Top right. These are different from the demo values.
- Why does moving the head leave a saved User Origin unchanged?
- What is needed for Set here to record a real position?
- Can the answer file establish a reference on your machine?
Explained answers and files
- Practice setup
- User Origin, stored X 100 / Y 90, Top right. The file supplies example fields, not a physical reference.
- Head versus origin
- Set here changes the stored reference. An ordinary head move changes the current position without replacing that reference.
- Optional machine work
- Use your own matching profile, documented reference procedure and a clear origin within your work area. Do not command course coordinates merely to match the answer.
user-origin-finished.lzrprojSaved demonstration setup, not a completed physical result.
user-origin-practice-answer.lzrprojCompare saved fields and artwork after your attempt.
user-origin-practice.lzrprojIndependent starter for this lesson.
user-origin-start.lzrprojFollow the demonstrated setup.
The example workspace is 370 x 360 mm. Match your own machine before any connected operation; homing requires supported and configured hardware.
Matches the demonstrated Beam Bench 0.2.37 controls and the corrected ending where applicable. Later panel layouts may differ.
