v0.2.13 Experimental Ruida Ethernet Jobs

Beam Bench 0.2.13 lets RDC6445G and other responding Ruida Ethernet variants opt into the guarded Experimental job runtime.

Beam Bench v0.2.13.

Broader Experimental Ruida access

  • RDC6445G and other Ruida Ethernet variants that answer the identity and machine-status checks can now enter the existing Experimental Ruida runtime.
  • Beam Bench keeps the controller's reported card ID and mainboard version visible in Controller Info and diagnostics.
  • A mainboard version containing 6445G is identified as RDC6445G. Other responding variants are clearly shown as unverified.

Existing safeguards remain active

  • Uploads must be acknowledged, start and completion must be observed from controller status, and temporary Beam Bench files are deleted only after they are uniquely identified.
  • Framing, start, pause, resume, cancel, home, and finite jog use the same guarded Ethernet path as RDC6442S.
  • This support is Experimental and has not been confirmed on physical RDC6445G hardware. Stop the machine if behavior is unexpected and send an in-app bug report with the controller details.

These changes apply on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Download the release from beambench.com.
