v0.2.9 Coordinate Placement and Framing Fixes
Beam Bench 0.2.9 fixes coordinate placement for Current Position, User Origin, and Absolute Coordinates on homed GRBL machines.
Beam Bench v0.2.9.
Coordinate placement
- Preview, exported G-code, canvas laser positioning, framing, and burning now use the same workspace and job-origin conversion.
- Current Position and User Origin frames no longer reject safe jobs because of a synthetic travel point outside the workspace.
- On homed GRBL machines, Beam Bench applies the active work-coordinate offset before checking the physical machine limits.
- Absolute Coordinates output now converts physical bed coordinates into the controller's active work-coordinate frame.
- Framing and job placement include raster margins consistently, and the exact plan that passes preflight is the plan sent to the machine.
Image inversion
- Adjust Image now prevents its Invert option and a layer's Negative Image option from silently cancelling each other.
Large raster previews
- Error-diffusion image modes now use a small rolling memory window, and preview detail sent to the canvas is bounded, preventing large dithered images from exhausting application memory.
- If an image would create an impractically large raster command plan, Beam Bench now shows localized guidance to reduce the DPI, physical size, or image fragmentation instead of closing unexpectedly.
These fixes apply on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Before running a job, verify the Preview and frame the work area on the machine. Download the release from beambench.com.
