v0.1.12 Controller and raster updates
Changes in Beam Bench 0.1.12.
-
Expanded compatible-controller handling so positively identified machines can use the appropriate shared controller path, while preserving the existing safety and capability checks.
-
SVG export now preserves embedded raster images instead of silently omitting them.
-
Added an optional, consent-based prompt after successful jobs so users can share basic controller compatibility results without project artwork. The complete flow is localized in every supported language.
-
Reworked GRBL raster output so laser power changes travel inline with motion, the laser mode is selected once per raster segment, and scanlines no longer stop the controller with repeated
M4/M5commands. Dense grayscale benchmarks now use roughly half as many G-code lines, and the active-job tick loop refills GRBL's serial buffer quickly enough for normal 115200-baud use. -
Raster preflight now requires GRBL laser mode (
$32=1). Planning uses the connected machine's XY speed and acceleration limits for more realistic duration estimates, warns about speeds above the machine limit and inadequate overscan, and accounts for profiles that use engraving-speed overscan moves. -
Live remaining time now counts down from the planned motion duration instead of treating every G-code line as equal, and paused time is excluded. Preview totals and playback positions use
h:mm:ssfor jobs longer than one hour. -
Corrected additional raster edge cases involving right-to-left dot-width correction, blank-row bidirectional alternation, binary flood fill, vertical and rotated raster endpoints, preview travel geometry, and empty corrected scanlines.
