v0.2.5
Beam Bench 0.2.5 improves safe job positioning, framing recovery, raster output, and DXF imports.
Beam Bench v0.2.5.
Improvements
- Current Position and User Origin now work safely on unhomed GRBL machines. Relative jobs require a completed framing pass before Start, and frames return to the placement anchor.
- User Origin now shows whether it is set and provides a Set Here action.
- Framing and Preview can select artwork outside the workspace, switch to Absolute Coordinates when appropriate, and recheck automatically.
- Raster speed advisories can apply the recommended overscan, reduce speed, recheck, or continue after review.
- DXF imports now preserve splines, polyline bulge arcs, wrapped arcs, and legacy polylines. Unsupported entities produce accurate, localized guidance.
Fixes
- Horizontal raster jobs on bottom-left workspaces now begin at the physical bottom and move upward without rotating or mirroring artwork.
- Rapid finite jog clicks are serialized, and controller status is rechecked until idle.
- File drag-and-drop overlays now clear after an import or when the pointer leaves the canvas.
- Feedback reports contain better positioning diagnostics while keeping filenames, artwork, and private device details out.
