v0.2.12 Safer Experimental Ruida Detection

Beam Bench 0.2.12 identifies Ruida controller variants more precisely and keeps unknown hardware in a safe diagnostic-only mode.

Beam Bench v0.2.12.

Ruida controller identification

  • Beam Bench now uses an explicit compatibility registry instead of treating every Ruida controller as interchangeable.
  • The existing experimental RDC6442S Ethernet path remains available.
  • Unrecognized variants report their controller identity, version, and status for diagnostics.

Safe handling of unknown variants

  • Unknown Ruida controllers are limited to read-only identification. Job uploads and machine motion remain blocked until that exact target is supported.
  • The RDC6445G is detected for diagnostics only in this release. Beam Bench does not yet control it.
  • Clearer connection guidance is available in English and French, with English fallback in other languages.

These changes apply on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Download the release from beambench.com.
