Beam Bench-documentatie

v0.2.4

Beam Bench 0.2.4 improves per-object layer assignment, controller recovery, and safer GRBL framing.

Beam Bench v0.2.4.

Improvements

  • Select one or more objects and choose Layer in Properties, or right-click a destination layer tab and choose Move Selection to This Layer.
  • Controller communication is rechecked automatically before Beam Bench declares an idle connection lost.
  • GRBL emergency stop recovery can reopen a failed connection once, resend the reset, and confirm the controller response. If confirmation fails, Beam Bench clears the stale connection and shows physical-stop guidance.
  • Generic GRBL reads the controller's $130 and $131 travel settings instead of keeping a placeholder workspace. An ACMER S2 machine preset is now included.
  • Framing validates its complete planned motion against the active machine profile and clearly reports when the single framing pass is complete.

Fixes

  • Moving one selected object to another layer no longer changes unselected objects that shared its original layer.
  • When a preview bounds problem comes from the project's origin mode, Beam Bench can switch to Absolute Coordinates and recheck the preview automatically.
